Corbett National Park, or in other words, Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park of the country located in the state of Uttarakhand. It was initially established for the purpose of the protection of the endangered Bengal tiger species. The park was named after Mr. Jim Corbett who was a British hunter, tracker, conservationist, naturalist and author and was famous for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards in India. He authored the popular novel called ‘Man-eaters of Kumaon’.
